A small, family-run winery in the foothills of the Cascade mountain range.

About Us

Ridge of Wonders Wine Cellars (formerly known as Pahto Wine Cellars)  first vintage was 2016, with 60 cases of rosé produced, fermented and bottled in our garage-turned-wine-cellar in Husum, Washington. We are a limited production, family-run winery in the foothills of the Cascade mountain range, sourcing our wine grapes from the Columbia Gorge AVA and making the wine close to that source. We have the benefit of being neighbors with the vineyards we work with, lending a hand and learning about each specific site as we go. Organic growing practices with some Biodynamic techniques are being utilized in the vineyards with excellent results. We are excited to work with high-elevation, cool-climate grapes in the gorge to make unique wines from Washington state, with minimal intervention, full transparency, and respect for the variety's individual character. We are adding new wines every year while developing new relationships with gorge grape growers.

I have been working in wine cellars and wineries since the 2007 vintage, as the lab technician/enologist/farm-hand/vineyardist/assistant winemaker, at three amazing and different wineries, in the Willamette Valley and the Gorge. I knew I wanted to be part of the wine world because of its dynamic nature, balance of art and science, and direct contact with the land. These experiences have led me to create Ridge of Wonders Wine, to make wines exclusively from the gorge, with family and friends being able to lend a hand. We look forward to sharing a glass with you soon!
